As we do almost every year, we spent time on Briggs Island. We were fortunate to have Louise's mother, Dorothy, stay with us for our 2nd week in July and to have an additional 2 weeks in August with Shanes parents, Mel and Mary Lou.

I'm not sure if I ever posted this before or not, but some time ago, I added a page to this site called Mel Butler's VA-42 Home Page. Please be sure to check it out at http://www.thebutlerfamily.net/va-42/ for some great pictures of the squadron's Skyraiders during the mid-fifties.
